ULTERN POKEDEX

In Ultern, many Pokemon appear to drift in and out of the region. But there are a number of Pokemon species that's only endemic to this region alone, as well as certain kinds of Pokemon with their own regional variants. This Pokedex helps track some of the unique species of Pokemon that you can only find in the Ultern Region.

Chikorita

Sprout Pokemon

Type: Grass

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Field

It is said to be like a sprout that has yet to bloom. It's not uncommon to see it seek out warm and bright lit areas in hopes of soaking the sunlight.

Cubburn

Flame Cub Pokemon

Type: Fire

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Mountain

Said to be born of fire. It's warm to the touch, and light up the hearts of others. The firey tips of it's fur burn bright but it never harms those with a good heart.

Palssio

Buddy Pokemon

Type: Water

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Water's Edge

It's very sociable, and is often seen with other species of Pokemon presumed to be its friend. While it prefers to swim around it can be seen up on the ground as well.

Dodaerie

Twin Brood Pokemon

Type: Normal | Flying

Encounter: Uncommon
Habitat: Field

A hatchling with two heads, commonly mistaken for having a different colored third head which in reality is just a baby Wiki that nests along side it. When its parent is not present, it's said a Wiki is seen guarding them from any predators.

Doduo

Twin Bird Pokemon

Type: Normal | Flying

Encounter: Common
Habitat: Field

It's easily spotted in the grassy fields, running at top speed with its powerful legs. It loves to give rides to those who wish to cross the plains. In fact it's not uncommon to see a Wiki riding upon a Doduo's back out in the wild.

Dodrio

Triple Bird Pokemon

Type: Normal | Flying

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Field

It's believed when it evolves from a Dodro one of it's head splits into two. Each head are known to function on it's own but work as a team with one as the clear leader. It loves to run through the grass plains with it's powerful legs

Wiki

Burrowing Pokemon

Type: Ground

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Field

Named after the Wiki berry due to it's purple feathers. It's seen emerging out from the dirt surprising those around it. It loves to gaze up into the sky seemingly without thought. People believe that this little bird simply just wishes to fly high. It can be commonly sighted among a herd of Doduos.

Pichu

Tiny Mouse Pokemon

Type: Electric

Encounter: Uncommon
Habitat: Forest

When excited it emits a spark from their cheeks which results in static electricity that makes their fur to become thicker which results in a rounder looking appearance.

Cleffa

Star Shape Pokemon

Type: Fairy

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Mountain

Due to it's star-shaped appearance it's believed that Cleffa came from the stars. Coincidentally there are reports of increased Cleffa sightings when shooting stars are visible in the night sky.

Igglybuff

Balloon Pokemon

Type: Normal | Fairy

Encounter: Uncommon
Habitat: Field

As it's legs aren't strong enough to support it yet, it typically travels by bouncing around. It's body is very soft, and are able to jump high.

Coinpur

Young Kitten Pokemon

Type: Normal

Encounter: Common
Habitat: Urban, Field

It's playful and very affectionate. It has a habit of purring loud. Since it's still quite young it easily becomes tuckered out, and can be seen napping in odd, hard to find places.

Blissey

Happiness Pokemon

Type: Normal

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Field

It is a kindhearted Pokemon that shares its eggs to those who are starving. It is believed it shares its happiness to those who are sad with their eggs.

Paraspor

Mushroom Pokemon

Type: Bug | Grass

Encounter: Uncommon
Habitat: Forest

Paraspor are always seen taking shelter inside a mushroom. It's said it has a beneficial relationship with the mushroom as it gives the soft shelled Paraspor shelter from all the elements. It's believed as it grows the mushroom eventually becomes too small for Paraspor to live in.

Paras

Mushroom Pokemon

Type: Normal

Encounter: Common
Habitat: Forest

It's usually found in forested areas, and it's mushroom grows along side it. The mushrooms on their back can be used for medicinal purposes.

Parasect

Mushroom Pokemon

Type: Bug | Grass

Encounter: Common
Habitat: Forest

A swarm of Parasect can be seen infesting large trees to drain its nutrients from the lower trunk and roots. The large mushroom on its back actually controls its host and scatters poisonous spores.

Dunsparce

Land Snake Pokemon

Type: Poison

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Field

It has a very vindictive personality. Once it's locked onto a prey it will chase them to the ends of the earth.

Murkrow

Darkness Pokemon

Type: Dark | Flying

Encounter: Common
Habitat: Urban, Forest

They are known to be a sign of fortune who are often seen leading lost travelers onto a safe path. Due to them preferring to live in the darker parts of the woods they are attracted to things that sparkle.

 

 

   

   
   

 

Sandygast

Sand Heap Pokemon

Type: Ghost | Ground

Encounter: Uncommon
Habitat: Coastline

It's believed to be born from the dearly departed who took inhabitance within an abandoned sand castle. It is seen often helping those who are stuck within the beach sand to escape a deadly fate. It is said the shiny shovel on their head is actually a gift given to those it has saved in the past.

Palossand

Sand Castle Pokemon

Type: Ghost | Ground

Encounter: Rare
Habitat: Coastline

It's known as the Beach Savior. It grew bigger in size, amassing more sand while rescuing those who had the misfortune of falling deep into the sand of the beach. It's said to protect those who stray out during a storm with it's wall of sand.

Ho-Oh

Warding Pokemon

Type: Fire | Flying

Encounter: Extremely Rare
Habitat: ???

A beautiful golden bird that is highly revered. It's said to protect those around it by burning away evil. It's often sighted with it's friend, Shi-Sah.

Shi-Sah

Guarding Pokemon

Type: Fire | Ghost

Encounter: Extremely Rare
Habitat: ???

A red lion that brings in good fortune. It's said to be fast like the wind. It's highly revered, much like it's friend Ho-Oh.
